The Christian Outreach Houston(COC) is a ministry of Living Word Fellowship in Houston, Texas.  We exist as a ministry working in partnership and collaboration with other churches and para-church organizations to impact the community by developing comprehensive programs that will enhance the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the people of the community and ultimately lead to self reliance.
 
The Center also serves a satellite unit for the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department.  713-476-9207

Food Pantry
 
The COC offers food pantrysrvices to families in need of temporary assistance.  We partner with The Houston Food Bank, Krogers, food town, LWFC and the community to maintain an adequate source of food for our neighbors in  zip codes  77088-77091 and 77092.   Angel Food Ministries Food Services are now available.  
 
Legal Service
 
A quarterly legal forum community forum with an attorneys addressing general legals issues of the community.

Drug and alcohol recovery classes held Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays
          6:00pm-9:00pm.
 New clients should arrive at 5:30 on any of these days for a brief orientation.

Social Services

  • COC serves as a referral to community resources to assist families in need.
  • We provide case management services to assist families with addressing social and economic needs.
  • Resale Shop Clothing Closet (great bargains for nice items)

Education and Life Skills

  • GED (Tuesdays and Thursday (9:00am-12:00pm....9week sessions.
  • Parenting  Mondays  4:00pm-6:00pm)
  • Anger Management (Wednesday 4:00-6:00)
  • Life Skills (Various class...call for information)
